What will you achieve from this course?
This course is a pathway program that works through the qualifications of Certificate III in Information Technology, Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking) and Diploma of Information Technology (Networking). Over 18 months a program of learning builds upon participants’ skills in network support, providing skills in network administration and network/systems engineering.

A person competent in these skill areas could expect to work in the general areas of network support and administration or network design and engineering depending on the level of qualification gained. Specifically a diploma graduate could manage network engineering projects after gaining some experience within the lower echelons of the IT industry.

Career Opportunities
Possible career pathways include Configuration Specialist, Enterprise Application Integration Consultant, E-Security Analyst/Manager, Integration Analyst, Integration Centre Specialist, Intranet Engineer, Middleware Specialist or Network Engineer, Senior Java Developer (major systems integration), Solutions Architect and Systems Engineer.

Course Length and Fee
This course can be completed in 2 semesters which comprises of 4 terms of 10 weeks each.
Total duration: 52 weeks including term breaks and holidays

Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent.  English level of IELTS 5.5 or greater for international students. At least 18 years of age at the commencement of course.

Skill Recognition (RPL) / Credit Transfers
Students may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) by providing evidence that they have the required skills and knowledge in the specific areas of competency through work or industry experience and/or completed eligible assessments in equivalent or higher qualification.  If you have been working in a relevant role for a number of years but don't have a qualification, RPL may be a good option for you. Credit transfer may be greanted for each unit of competency gained in an equivalent or higher nationally endorsed qualification.
