If you want to become a Registered BAS Agent or if you are already one there are some future educational requirements that Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) has specified.
For each new BAS Agent after 1 March 2013 and for each existing BAS Agent that needs to renew as from that date must:
- have a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Certificate IV in Accounting or higher qualification
- have completed the following two units in the ‘Approved Course’
FNSBKG404A Carry out Business Activity and Instalment Activity Statement
FNSBKG405A Establish and Maintain a Payroll System
ALTEC offers the above units for those who wish to update their qualification to meet the standards specified by TPB.
