Overview
The Diploma of Accounting is a popular entry-level accounting qualification that provides you with a solid grounding and strong start into the accounting field. If you want to work in the accounting industry, but do not want to undertake a full-time professional degree, this diploma will provide you with practical training in an ideal timeframe.
This course will equip you with the financial skills to formalise your knowledge for a business executive or finance position. It is also ideal if you're looking to run your own business.
Upon completion of this course you will be trained in using and maintaining technology and complex systems to manage accounting systems and information. You will be able to prepare and manage financial reports and records for the business as well as for outside sources.
Career Opportunities
This qualification opens up a variety of accounting positions at middle management level. It enables students to develop skills that allow them to gain roles such as: Office Manager, Senior Executive Assistant, Administration Manager, Budget Officer and Assistant Accountant.

This course can be completed in one semester which comprises 2 terms of 10 weeks each.

Education Pathways
On successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to enrol into our Advanced Diploma of Accounting qualification.
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping or equivalent. English level of IELTS 5.5 or greater for international students. At least 18 years of age at the commencement of course.
Skill Recognition / Credit Transfers
Students may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) by providing evidence that they have the required skills and knowledge in the specific areas of competency gained through work or industry experience and/or completed eligible assessments in equivalent or higher qualification. If you have been working in a relevant role ofr a number of years but don't have a qualification, RPL may be a good option for you. Credit transfer may be greanted for each unit of competency gained in an equivalent or higher nationally endorsed qualification.
Students granted RPL or Credit transfer will complete the course in a shorter timeframe. International students are advised to consult appropriate authorities/bodies for applicable criteria if planning further study or stay in Australia.
